Odious Mortem was formed in 2000 by Dan Eggers (guitar, vocals), David Siskin (guitar) and KC Howard (drums). After recording multiple sessions and playing shows locally, Odious released a final demo in 2003. They made a deal with Unique Leader Records in 2004 who released their debut album ?Devouring the Prophecy". Joel Horner (Bass) joined the band that year and Anthony Trapani also became the new lead vocalist in 2005.
After finishing the Bloodletting V tour, Odious finished writing their second album in 2006. They entered the studios with Zack Ohren of Castle Ultimate in Oakland and recorded "Cryptic Implosion". The album was released in 2007 on Willowtip Records. With the help of Ivan Munguia on bass, Odious played various shows that year to support the album. Drummer Lee Smith (Estradasphere, God of Shamisen) has also recently joined up with Odious to help record a new album.
